I’m thrilled that Irene and Filip Strobl, who run the Taggenberg together, have chosen me and Steffi Düsterhöft to exhibit in the restaurant and showroom.
Steffi Düsterhöft
The paintings of Berlin-based artist Steffi Düsterhöft are quiet food for the soul. They are quiet – and yet they resonate. Her painting is radically reduced and yet complex. It is gentle and arises from inner strength.
She is convinced that paintings and their deep genesis influence the people who live with them. The energy, feelings and soul that flow into a painting also radiate from it. Body and soul resonate with the images. She sees her work as ‘slow art’, as its effect unfolds slowly.
Her art form is minimal art and abstract expressionism.
