Bridges 2025
Bridges is the premier interdisciplinary conference for art and mathematics. Bridges 2026 will be held in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, on the campus of the Eindhoven University of Technology.
In addition to the visual art exhibition, Bridges includes art-oriented performance events in music, film, poetry and theater, as well as invited plenary lectures, contributed research and hands-on workshops.
I am thrilled that the five-member curatorial team selected the Fibonacci Matryoshka sculpture and that I can show my constructive-concrete Fibonacci art in the visual art exhibition and participate in the conference.
The Bridges Organization, founded by Reza Sarhangi, aims to promote interest in mathematical connections to art, music, architecture and culture.
The basic idea behind Bridges is best summarized in the following quote from the Bridges organization:
«All too often, mathematics can seem disconnected from or even antithetical to these other topics. We believe that mathematics and art can inform and enrich each other, that there are great ideas waiting to be found in mathematical analysis and synthesis of art, and that artistic thinking and activities can enliven the mathematics classroom.»
