Ermitage Cultural Centre

Where: Dorfstrasse 30, 6375 Beckenried, Schweiz

When: 07 – 22 November 2026

Exhibition Undenklichkeit

The exhibition exhibits pictures and sculptures to show the poetry, harmony, clarity and lightness of Fibonacci art, a form of concrete art. Fibonacci works grow exponentially and spread out into infinity.

The German non-word ‘Undenklichkeit’ is a play on words combining infinity and unthinkability, and thus also incomprehensibility and unimaginability.

Details on the topic of unthinkability can be found hier in the blog.

Ermitage Cultural Centre in Beckenried

The Ermitage Cultural Association (Kulturverein Ermitage) is an active association in the canton of Nidwalden with 250 members. Its aim is to organise social and cultural events, promote culture and create a forum for creativity in Beckenried.

The association organises around twelve events each year in the fields of music, theatre, film, cabaret and exhibitions. The exhibitions are curated by Cinzia Gualandi.

The Ermitage cultural centre (Kulturraum Ermitage) is the former residence of Beckenried writer Isabelle Kaiser (1866–1925). Beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Lucerne, it is now used by the Ermitage cultural association for its events.
