Fibonacci Squares
The Fibonacci Squares collection shows arrangements of Fibonacci squares whose side lengths are Fibonacci numbers.
Interlacing Fibonacci Squares
Telescoping Fibonacci Squares consists of two series of Fibonacci squares. In each series, the squares are superimposed at one corner, with the smaller squares lying over the larger ones. The colours are semi-transparent, allowing the lower layers to show through. The two series are then partially superimposed, so that further Fibonacci squares appear as a result of the overlap.
Interlacing Squares II
In the image Interlacing Fibonacci Squares II, the two series are identical in form but feature two different colour gradients. The series on the left has a green gradient superimposed over the blue gradient of the series on the right.
The effect of the overlapping semi-transparent colour fields creates a sense of tension and vibrancy in the viewer, causing the eye to wander constantly back and forth.
