The Uferhallen are an important production and presentation location for art and culture in Berlin and, in addition to studios, also accommodate dance and rehearsal rooms, recording studios, a concert hall and an exhibition hall, workshops, restaurants and a wide range of event rooms. More than 150 artists live and work on the site and with several hundred visitors every day, the Uferhallen are a central place for cultural exchange and an integral part of the cultural scene and urban society of Berlin.
Accompanying the Berlin Art Week, a joint exhibition of all Uferhallen artists is taking place in the Uferhallen passage hall under the title Frequently Asked Questions.
The exhibition is organized for Uferhallen e.V. by Elena Alonso Fernandez and Mona Pourebrahim. It is supplemented by a neighborhood festival and extensive daily programs with talks and musical contributions by the BVG-Orchestra and Malonda as part of Zorka Wollny’s Evictions Songs.
See also the Uferhallen Open Studios exhibition, which will take place over the weekend of June 16-17. September 2023 on the site of the Uferhallen. There, my works are exhibited in Steffi Düsterhöft’s studio.
