The Uferhallen are an important production and presentation location for art and culture in Berlin and, in addition to studios, also accommodate dance and rehearsal rooms, recording studios, a concert hall and an exhibition hall, workshops, restaurants and a wide range of event rooms. More than 150 artists live and work on the site and with several hundred visitors every day, the Uferhallen are a central place for cultural exchange and an integral part of the cultural scene and urban society of Berlin.
On the weekend of September 16th and 17th, the art studios in the Uferhallen and the entire site will open their doors to visitors. I’m totally happy to be able to exhibit again in Steffi Düsterhöft’s studio. Check out her splendid artwork.
The Open Studios are supplemented by a neighborhood festival and extensive daily programs with talks and musical contributions by the BVG-Orchestra and Malonda as part of Zorka Wollny’s Evictions Songs.
Further information can be found on the Uferhallen website, at the n.b.k. (Neuer Berliner Kunstverein) or on Deeds.news (The Art Newspaper from Berlin).
See also the Frequently Asked Questions group exhibition of the Uferhallen artists, which will also take place on the site of the Uferhallen on 15-24 September 2023 . Another one of my works is on display there.
